Common Acknowledgement Phrase for publications

  • EFRC only publications (EFRC is the only grant):
    • Acknowledgement statement for University authors: “This work was supported as part of the μ-ATOMS, an Energy Frontier Research Center funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Basic Energy Sciences under award DE-SC0023412”
  • Involves support from multiple grants:
    • Based on above acknowledgement phrases, clearly identify the research activities supported by EFRC. For example:
    • “<insert the activities here, such as computational studies, synthesis, etc> is supported as part of μ-ATOMS, an Energy Frontier Research Center funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Science, Basic Energy Sciences (BES), under award DE-SC0023412”
    • “Work at <insert Institution #1> (<insert the activities here, such as computational studies, synthesis, etc>) was supported by μ-ATOMS, an Energy Frontier Research Center funded by DOE, Office of Science, BES under Award DE-SC0023412.”
  • Includes Sandia coauthors (Misra), then add Sandia/DOE ack.:
    • “<<This work was supported as part of μ-ATOMS, an Energy Frontier Research Center funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Basic Energy Sciences under award DE-SC0023412…etc.>>  Sandia National Laboratories is a multimission laboratory managed and operated by National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell International, Inc., for the U.S. DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration under contract DE-NA-0003525. The views expressed in the article do not necessarily represent the views of the U.S. DOE or the United States Government.”
  • Includes any CINT Staff (Lu, Lilly, Bussmann) as co-authors, then add acknowledgement statement for CINT SNL Staff Research:
    • “<<This work was supported as part of μ-ATOMS, an Energy Frontier Research Center funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Basic Energy Sciences under award DE-SC0023412…etc>> + This work was performed, in part, at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies, an Office of Science User Facility operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science. Sandia National Laboratories is a multimission laboratory managed and operated by National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell International, Inc., for the U.S. DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration under contract DE-NA-0003525. The views expressed in the article do not necessarily represent the views of the U.S. DOE or the United States Government.”
  • Includes CINT contribution, but no CINT coauthors add (If none of the authors are a Los Alamos or Sandia employee) add:
    • “<<This work was supported as part of μ-ATOMS EFRC, an Energy Frontier Research Center funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Basic Energy Sciences under award DE-SC0023412…etc.>> +  <insert the activities performed at/supported by CINT> was performed at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies, an Office of Science User Facility operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science by Los Alamos National Laboratory (Contract 89233218CNA000001) and Sandia National Laboratories (Contract DE-NA-0003525).”
